Biography of the organizers
Race Director Matt Nelson is the Co-Founder of Land’s End Expedition Racing and has been bringing races to the Gaspésie for the last 4 years. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Canadian Skyrunning Federation and is the Race Director and Co-Founder of the Ultra-Trail® du Mont Albert – Canadian Skyrunning Festival that is held during the last weekend of June in the Gaspésie National Park. Matt has been running since he was in high school and has been involved in organizing races for 12 years. An accomplished Ultra Marathon Runner and adventurer, he has run all around the world and on 6 of the 7 continents. Matt is a Former Officer in the US Marine Corps, a survival instructor, father of 4 aspiring trail runners and has been married for 20 years to his wife Michelle, a marathon open water swimmer.
In the field of racing since the age of 25, Roxanne is a big outdoor lover. Also mountain guide, she lived in the Alps for four (4) years and in Western Canada for 14 years. Roxanne is Deputy Director of the trail running event in the Gaspésie National Park, the Ultra-Trail® du Mont Albert.
Coordinator Corporate Relations
Ultra marathoner runner recreational, social and trail enthusiast, he is also certified trainer running and injury prevention. Stéphane is coordinator Corporate Relations for the Ultra-Trail® du Mont-Albert and the Canadian Federation of Skyrunning.
Member of the organization
Karine is passionate about racing and trail hiking. She is also the mother of two small trail running enthusiasts. She is actively involved in organizing races Ultra-Trail® du Mont-Albert and the Ultra-Trail® du Bout du Monde.
